BiographyI am a retired copy editor and English teacher living in Niagara Falls, New York, where I was born and raised. I was the fourth of seven children. In addition to teaching English in local high schools and community colleges, I was a copy editor for the Math. Association of America at SUNY at Buffalo for eight years. I have also been a volunteer docent at the Albright-Knox Art gallery for five years, an intern at the Studio Arena theater in Buffalo where I helped write playbills and an arts reviewer over Radio Station WBFO at SUNY at Buffalo. I am also a past president of our American Legion Women's Auxiliary Portage Post. I have two daughters and three grandsons. Besides reading and writing, I enjoy gardening, baking and doing crossword puzzles. I am also an avid aerobic swimmer. In my biographies I have tried to portray adventurous, independent, and successful American women who were first in their chosen fields. |
